When I first got this I was kind of put off by the band. It is velcro. After wearing it about a month I've come to appreciate the velcro as it allows for good adjustment. The dial is nice, with fairly large, brown numerals on a tan background. The illuminator works great. The plastic face cover isn't scratched yet even after a few accidental knocks against it.

This watch was purchased as a gift. The party it was given to has expressed it was a very thoughtful gift and appreciates it. The getleman it was given to it quite athletic as he: runs, swims, plays basketball, goes climbing when possible, snowshoeing and golfing. This gentleman is a Chaplin for New England sports teams. I have not asked if he would recommend it to others, but he has expressed happiness with the watch.
